On May 5, 2025, the NUB Computer Club successfully hosted a pivotal seminar titled “Cyber Security & Malware Attack” at Northern University Bangladesh, shedding light on the growing threats in the digital landscape. Held in Seminar Room 105 at 2:30 PM, the event attracted a large audience of students, professionals, and tech enthusiasts eager to enhance their understanding of cybersecurity.
The seminar was primarily organized for students to spark their curiosity about cybersecurity, encouraging them to explore this critical domain where skilled professionals are urgently needed. It featured Professor Dr. Md. Sohrab Hossain, a distinguished expert from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at BUET, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Hossain, widely recognized for his groundbreaking research in cybersecurity and extensive contributions to the field, delivered an insightful presentation on malware defense strategies, captivating the audience with his expertise. The session was skillfully moderated by Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin, an Associate Professor from the Department of CSE at NUB, who ensured a seamless flow of ideas and engaging discussions.
