New DIG Orders Arrests Over July Movement Suppression, Warns of Zero Tolerance

Newly appointed DIG of Dhaka Range, Rezaul Karim Mallick, has instructed police officers to arrest those responsible for repressing the July Uprising, especially individuals already implicated by investigations. He emphasized a zero-tolerance stance against corruption, terrorism, extortion, and activities linked to banned groups.

Mallick also announced the launch of a citizen communication app, “Talk to DIG,” and the installation of complaint boxes across all police units. He pledged strict action against any officer engaged in unethical conduct.
