PUBG Mobile Announces Local Server and Esports Initiatives in Bangladesh

Krafton’s PUBG Mobile has unveiled plans to introduce a dedicated local server for Bangladesh, marking a significant move aimed at enhancing the gaming experience for local players. According to an official statement, the local server is scheduled to go live in the coming months, with the formal announcement made on April 20.

In tandem with the server launch plans, PUBG Mobile also introduced the inaugural PUBG Mobile National Championship 2025 in Bangladesh. The tournament boasts a prize pool of BDT 10 lakh, and registration is open until April 25, 2025, with no entry fee required.

The game’s developers are also rolling out a series of localized initiatives designed to support and grow the Bangladeshi gaming community. These include university outreach programs, training opportunities for local talent to compete on international platforms, and investments in creative development tools like the World of Wonder (WOW) platform. WOW encourages players to design and share custom maps, helping them build skills in game design and interactive storytelling.

A spokesperson for PUBG Mobile’s South Asia division expressed excitement about re-engaging with the Bangladeshi gaming community. “We are thrilled to resume our journey in Bangladesh—a country with limitless potential in gaming and esports,” the spokesperson said. “Our aim is to collaborate with local partners to foster a responsible, inclusive, and inspiring gaming ecosystem.”

This move signals PUBG Mobile’s renewed commitment to the Bangladeshi market, focusing on both competitive esports and community-driven innovation.
