Automobile Association of Bangladesh: Driving Road Safety, Mobility, and Motorsport Since 1953
Founded in 1953 and based in Dhaka, the Automobile Association of Bangladesh (AAB) stands as the country’s only national body representing car owners. For over 70 years, AAB has worked to protect and promote the interests of motorists, advocating for better road safety, sustainable transportation, and improved traffic management across Bangladesh.
AAB holds exclusive membership in two of the world’s most prestigious motoring organizations — the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and the Alliance Internationale de Tourisme (AIT) — solidifying its role as Bangladesh’s voice in global mobility, motorsport, and tourism standards.
Our Vision & Mission
AAB is committed to ensuring that cars and their use truly serve the people of Bangladesh. Whether it’s about road safety, environmental impact, efficient travel, tourism, or motorsport, AAB’s mission is to shape a responsible, respectful, and forward-thinking car culture.
Specifically, AAB promotes:
✅ Responsibility toward all road users
✅ Respect for the environment
✅ Efficiency in daily travel
✅ Enjoyment through tourism
✅ Competitiveness in motorsport
By championing international best practices in these areas, AAB works to create opportunities for Bangladeshis — both within the country and on the global stage, particularly in motorsport, where the organization helps pave the way for local talent to shine internationally.
