India Fired Six Ballistic Missiles on Own Soil, Claims Pakistan’s Military

Islamabad, May 10, 2025 – Pakistan’s military has alleged that India fired six ballistic missiles within its own territory, escalating tensions between the two nations to a dangerous new level.

At a media briefing late Friday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry revealed that India launched six ballistic missiles from its Adampur base in Jalandhar, Punjab. According to Chaudhry, one missile was intercepted and destroyed near Adampur, while the other five struck various locations in Amritsar.

He stated that Pakistan’s military possesses electronic evidence confirming these missile launches, which it views as part of a broader strategy by India to sow discord within its own borders—particularly targeting the Sikh-majority region of Punjab.

“India is deliberately attacking Sikh communities in Amritsar to fuel animosity against Pakistan,” Lt Gen Chaudhry asserted. He further claimed that this was not an isolated incident, noting that India had previously fired three missiles into Amritsar during the night of May 7–8.

“This reckless and irrational move signals growing internal instability within India,” Chaudhry warned. “By endangering its own citizens and infrastructure, the Indian government is pushing its domestic issues under the guise of external aggression.”

Lt Gen Chaudhry emphasized that the Sikh community is bearing the brunt of these attacks, describing them as part of India’s ongoing oppression of minorities. “Our sympathies lie with the Sikh people, who continue to suffer state-sponsored persecution,” he added.

The ISPR spokesperson labeled the developments as “extremely dangerous,” cautioning that unchecked aggression of this nature could destabilize the entire region.
