Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) sends high-level delegation to Bangladesh, marking a significant step in strengthening defense relations between the two nations.
Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), a leader in Turkey's defense and aerospace sector, has dispatched a high-level delegation to Bangladesh as part of ongoing defense cooperation between the two countries. The delegation, which has been in Bangladesh since January 13, has held several crucial meetings with senior officials from the Bangladesh Armed Forces.
One of the key highlights of the visit was the courtesy call made by TAI’s Flight Test Director, Arif Ates, to Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hassan, Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Division. The discussions centered around enhancing bilateral defense relations and exploring future opportunities for collaboration in advanced military aviation and defense technologies.
The delegation includes top officials in charge of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), attack helicopters, intelligence products, and corporate marketing. Sources indicate that the Bangladesh Armed Forces, particularly the Bangladesh Air Force, is actively engaged in discussions with TAI regarding the potential acquisition of six T-129 ATAK attack helicopters and ANKA-S unmanned aerial systems.
The visit is being facilitated by Turkey’s newly appointed Defense Attaché to Bangladesh, Colonel Erdal Sahin, further solidifying the growing defense partnership between the two nations.
