Ingredients:

  • 4 large oranges

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vinegar

  • 1/2 cup water

Method:

  1. Prepare the oranges:

    • Peel the oranges and remove the seeds and the white pith thoroughly.

    • Blend the remaining orange flesh in a mixer until smooth, leaving no large pieces.

  2. Cook the sugar syrup:

    • Heat a pan and add water and sugar.

    • Boil for about 5 minutes until the sugar dissolves and the syrup thickens slightly.

  3. Mix orange puree:

    • Strain the orange puree into the sugar syrup.

    • Stir well and cook for a few minutes to blend the flavors.

  4. Add vinegar:

    • Add 1 teaspoon vinegar to the mixture and cook for a few more minutes while stirring continuously.

  5. Cool and store:

    • Once done, let the jelly cool.

    • Pour into a clean glass jar or airtight container.

    • Store in the fridge or at room temperature, ensuring the container is airtight to prevent spoilage.

Tips:

  • Make sure to remove all seeds and white pith to avoid bitterness.

  • Stir continuously when adding vinegar to prevent curdling.

  • The jelly can last longer if stored in an airtight container.
