Lemongrass Tea Rinse: A Natural Solution For Healthier, Faster Hair Growth

The Chronify

Lifestyle experts highlight lemongrass tea as an effective natural alternative for improving scalp health, reducing dandruff, and encouraging faster hair growth.

Lemongrass, often known for its fresh citrus aroma and culinary uses, is gaining attention as a home remedy for promoting stronger and healthier hair. When prepared as a tea, it not only offers relaxation but also provides essential nutrients that improve scalp circulation and stimulate hair follicles.

Unlike chemical-based tonics, lemongrass tea contains vitamins A and C, folate, iron, and magnesium—elements that strengthen hair roots and reduce breakage. Its natural astringent qualities help balance scalp oil levels while minimizing dandruff. Regular rinsing with lemongrass tea can result in shinier, thicker, and faster-growing hair.

How To Make Lemongrass Tea Rinse

  • Take 4–5 fresh lemongrass stalks (or 2 tbsp dried) and wash thoroughly.

  • Bruise the stalks to release oils.

  • Boil in 3 cups of water for 5–7 minutes until the liquid turns golden.

  • Strain and allow the tea to cool to lukewarm.

  • Optionally, add a few drops of rosemary essential oil or 1 tbsp aloe vera gel.

How To Use
After shampooing, pour the lukewarm tea onto the scalp and hair. Massage gently for 2–3 minutes and leave it on for 5–10 minutes before rinsing with plain water. It can also be left in for a refreshing fragrance. Experts recommend using it 1–2 times weekly for best results, with noticeable improvements in scalp freshness after the first rinse and reduced hair fall within 1–2 months.
