Putin Issues Warning of Severing Ties with the United States
Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that if the United States supplies Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles, it could lead to a severing of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed strong concerns over discussions about the potential supply of long-range weapons systems such as Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. He warned that such a move by the United States would damage U.S.-Russia relations and eliminate any remaining positive potential in the relationship.
Earlier, during a forum, Putin cautioned that supplying Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles would bring tensions between Moscow and Washington to a “completely new level.” He emphasized that this would not change the situation on the battlefield but would significantly escalate geopolitical tensions.
He also stated that Russian forces are making slow but steady progress in the ongoing conflict.
