U.S. Still Expects Iran Response to Ceasefire Proposal: JD Vance
The Chronify
Vice President says most military objectives achieved as deadline for Iran’s response approaches.
JD Vance stated that the United States still expects a response from Iran regarding a proposed ceasefire within the deadline set by President Donald Trump.
He claimed that the United States has already achieved most of its military objectives in Iran and expressed hope that a response could still be received before the deadline expires later tonight (local time).
Meanwhile, President Trump has issued renewed warnings to Iran just hours before the deadline concerning the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. In a post on Truth Social, he warned that “tonight a whole civilization could be destroyed that will never return.”
Trump added that although he does not want such an outcome, it remains a possibility. He also suggested that recent internal developments in Iran, including the emergence of more moderate voices, could still lead to a positive resolution.
The situation remains highly tense as global attention focuses on whether Iran will respond before the deadline and whether the crisis could escalate further.
