Biman Bangladesh Airlines has equipped its ground staff with body cameras at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to strengthen security and monitoring of passenger baggage. This technology-driven initiative aims to improve the service standards provided by the state-owned airline as a ground handling agent.
The announcement was made in a press release signed by Boseera Islam, General Manager of the Public Relations Department at Biman Bangladesh Airlines, on December 17, 2025. According to the statement, the introduction of body cameras will ensure that the entire baggage transport process, from the airplane hold to the baggage belt and ultimately to the passengers, is closely monitored.
This new initiative is expected to ensure a consistent level of security and transparency in the baggage handling process. By utilizing body cameras, Biman aims to increase operational transparency and staff accountability. In case of any baggage-related complaints, the video footage will be reviewed to quickly verify the situation and provide resolution, making the complaint resolution process more efficient and credible.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines sees this as a clear example of the use of modern technology in ground handling services and a customer-centric approach to improving passenger experience.
