Doctors monitoring critical time frame for potential improvement in condition
Sharif Osman Hadi, who is currently receiving treatment at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), remains in critical condition with no significant change in his health. According to medical experts, the most crucial factor at this stage is the "time window," referring to a limited period during which positive neurological responses are expected.
Dr. Abdul Ahad, a neurosurgeon from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) involved in Hadi’s treatment, shared the latest update on December 16, stating that Hadi’s kidney, heart, and lungs are being supported by artificial ventilation. Despite medical efforts, there has been no change in his Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score, which indicates that there has been no visible improvement or deterioration in his neurological response.
Doctors emphasized that the critical time window for brain injury treatment is now underway. If Hadi’s body shows any positive reactions during this period, it could pave the way for potential improvement.
Dr. Ahad clarified that reports of Hadi opening his eyes or showing improvement are untrue, stressing that his condition remains unchanged. Currently, doctors are unable to predict whether he will regain consciousness, as it largely depends on how his body responds in the coming hours.
