Jamaat-e-Islami Cancels Upcoming Event in Light of National Entrance Exams
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has postponed its grand rally scheduled for January 3rd, 2026, in consideration of the entrance exams for agricultural universities. The party announced the decision in a statement released on Sunday, December 28th.
The statement, issued by the party's Secretary General and former MP Miah Golam Parwar, confirmed that the event would no longer take place on the previously scheduled date. The reason for the cancellation is the entrance exams for the 2025-26 academic year at nine agricultural and agriculture-related universities across the country, where students are set to sit for their first-year bachelor’s exams.
The rally, which was originally planned by Jamaat-e-Islami, was expected to gather significant public participation. However, the party has now decided to reschedule the event out of respect for the national examination process.
