Special Metro Rail Service for Khaleda Zia's Funeral on Wednesday

Special metro rail services will be provided for those attending the funeral of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
To facilitate public participation in the funeral of former three-time Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has announced special metro rail services. A press release issued on Tuesday, December 30, confirmed that these additional services will be available on Wednesday, December 31, beyond the regular metro rail schedule.
The special services aim to ensure that people can easily attend the funeral. Khaleda Zia passed away on Tuesday, December 30, at 6 a.m. at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka, and the arrangements for her funeral are being made to allow as many people as possible to pay their respects.
In addition, a tax exemption on metro rail services has been extended to ensure smooth operation.
