Launch of Book Distribution for Mosque-Based Child and Mass Education Program
Government highlights commitment to Islamic education, with scholarships for Imams, scholars, and university students.
The book distribution for the mosque-based child and mass education program was officially launched by Religious Affairs Advisor Dr. A F M Khalid Hossain on January 1, 2026. The inauguration ceremony took place at the Islamic Foundation in Agargaon, Dhaka.
In his inaugural speech, Dr. Hossain emphasized the government's dedication to promoting Islamic education. He revealed that a new initiative will be introduced at the university level to provide Quranic teachings, aiming to expand access to Islamic knowledge across higher education institutions.
Dr. Hossain also reassured the public about the government's ongoing efforts to ensure the smooth conduct of upcoming elections. During his tenure, he vowed to work with integrity and dedication.
Additionally, the Religious Affairs Advisor announced government plans to offer scholarships to Imams, scholars, and top university students. The scholarships will provide support for studying at major international universities, further encouraging academic and religious excellence.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief Advisor’s two special assistants, Professor Ali Riaz and Monir Haider, along with other distinguished guests.
