AwareXone: A Digital Community-Based Solution for Reporting Lost Items and Scams
Losing valuable items like smartphones, wallets, or emergency identification documents, and falling victim to digital scams, has become a nightmare for many. The rapid spread of information on social media often makes it difficult to verify facts, leading to delays in resolving issues. To address this challenge, two Bangladeshi students studying at the University of Cyberjaya in Malaysia have introduced a new platform, AwareXone, designed to combat these problems.
The founders of the platform, Mohammad Shahriar Shanaz Shubhon and Ukkhking Marma Joy, created AwareXone as a community-driven digital platform. According to Shubhon, people usually turn to social media after losing items or being scammed, but the information often gets lost, and verifying it becomes nearly impossible. AwareXone aims to offer a structured system that is both reliable and effective.
One of the major issues with scams is that people often realize they've been deceived only after the fact. Without any platform to warn them in advance, they face both financial and emotional losses. AwareXone seeks to fill this gap by providing a solution that not only helps recover lost items but also warns others about scams through community-driven reports and validation.
Under the technical leadership of Joy, the platform's reporting system and data structure have been designed to ensure seamless information exchange. Users can share details of lost or found items and report their scam experiences, which act as alerts for others. The platform also ensures the credibility of the information through identity verification and community validation.
Though still in its early stages, AwareXone is expected to become a key solution for preventing scams and recovering lost belongings in the near future.
