JD Vance Cancels Pakistan Visit Over Security Concerns, Says Donald Trump

United States Vice President JD Vance has cancelled his planned visit to Pakistan, which was scheduled for discussions related to ongoing talks involving Iran, citing security concerns.

The confirmation was given by US President Donald Trump, who stated that the decision was made solely due to safety-related issues.

According to earlier reports, US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz and Energy Secretary Chris Wright had indicated that JD Vance would lead the American delegation in the Islamabad talks scheduled to begin on Monday.

However, the plan was revised at the last moment, and the Vice President will no longer travel to Pakistan.

In an interview with ABC News, Trump emphasized that the cancellation was strictly related to security risks and described Vance as a highly capable leader.

The development comes amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing diplomatic engagements involving Iran-related negotiations, which have drawn international attention.
